With about 35.000 students and 1.800 faculty members, the University of Genoa (UniGe) is
one of the largest universities in Italy
. UniGe was establised in 1481 and is now organized into 5 Schools offering a total of 125 First Degree courses and 90 Second Degree masters. The various Schools and departments of the pubilc university are distributed around the city and are home to nearly 3000 international students.
UniGe is present in the
world top 1.5% universities
in all the major international rankings (QS, ARWU, THE, CWUR, US-News, Scimago, etc) and is ranked third among big Italian universities in terms of international relations. The percentage of international students at the University of Genoa is one of the highest among Italian universities and broadening our Faculty with
multicultural and international
members is a major commitment of UniGe.
At UniGe, research activities in Robotics at the Polytechnic School are carried out in the
Department of Informatics, Bioengineering, Robotics and Systems Engineering
(DIBRIS) and in the
Department of Mechanical Engineering
(DIME) and they are part of a study programme completely
taught in English
, with a unique structure compliant with international standards: continuous assessment of student performance, exam sessions synced with semesters, extended and challenging lab activities, a full-semester thesis work. Robotics Engineering strongly encourages mobility abroad for traineeships, as well as international industrial cooperation.
